Driving Directions
TAKE M-22 FROM TRAVERSE CITY NORTH TO THE VILLAGE OF NORTHPORT, FOLLOW M-201 THRU THE VILLAGE. WHEN REACHING COUNTY ROAD 640, FOLLOW IT TO THE JUNCTURE OF COUNTY ROAD 629, TAKE 629 DIRECTLY TO THE PARK ENTRANCE. THE ROAD WILL DEAD END AT THE PARK. TOTAL DISTANCE FROM NORTHPORT TO THE PARK IS 8 MILES. FROM TRAVERSE CITY TO NORTHPORT IS APPROXIMATELY 30 MILES

Cancellation/Transfer Policy
Cancellations cannot be made more than 5 months in advance of arrival date. Changes to this reservation must be made via the call center and will result in full cancellation. The $8 reservation fee included in the initial reservation is nonrefundable. All site changes will cost $5. Cancellations made up to close of business the day prior to your scheduled arrival date will incur the $10 cancellation fee. If you cancel on your day of arrival or later you forfeit the first nights camp fee as well as the $10 cancellation and $8 reservation fee. Reservations are held until 3PM the day after scheduled arrival date. If arriving more than 24 hours late, you must cancel the whole reservation and rebook for new desired dates. Failure to do so will result in a no-show with loss of all fees.

RESIDENT - MVP ANNUAL RESIDENT PERMIT IS $24. DAILY PERMIT IS $6. ANNUAL PERMIT FOR MI RESIDENTS OVER 65 WITH A VEHICLE REGISTERED IN MICHIGAN IS $6. ANNUAL PERMIT FOR BRIDGE CARD HOLDERS IS $18. TOWED VEHICLE DUPLICATE PERMIT IS $6.
LATE ARRIVALS SITES WILL BE HELD FOR 24 HOURS PAST THE 3 PM CHECK-IN TIME. IF ARRIVING MORE THAN 24 HOURS LATE, YOU MUST CANCEL THE WHOLE RESERVATION AND REBOOK FOR NEW DESIRED DATES. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN A NO-SHOW WITH LOSS OF ALL FEES.

VISITORS VISITORS MUST VACATE THE CAMPGROUND BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 10PM AND 8AM.
VERIFICATION POLICY IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL/MODIFY THIS RESERVATION, YOU MUST BE ABLE TO VERIFY THE FOLLOWING RESERVATION INFO: CUSTOMER NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER, PARK, DATES, AND CREDIT CARD NUMBER USED. IF YOU CANNOT VERIFY THIS INFORMATION, THE RESERVATION WILL NOT BE CANCELLED OR MODIFIED.
MULTIPLE RESERVATION POLICY IN THE CASE OF MULTIPLE RESERVATIONS, ONLY THE PERSON MAKING THE INITIAL RESERVATIONS MAY CONTACT US IN ORDER TO MODIFY/CANCEL THE RESERVATIONS. THIS WOULD INCLUDE CHANGING PAYMENT METHODS AT A LATER DATE FROM CHECK TO CREDIT CARD. WE ALSO REQUIRE THE NAME OF AT LEAST ONE ADULT PER CAMPSITE.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION 51 RUSTIC CAMPSITES & 3 MINI CABINS. NO SHOWERS, MODERN TOILETS, OR ELECT OUTLETS AVAILABLE. TOILETS ARE VAULT TOILETS. CLEAN POTABLE DRINKING WATER IS AVAILABLE. A WATER TOWER IS LOCATED NEXT TO THE CAMPGROUND ENTRANCE ROAD. THE GRAND TRAVERSE LIGHTHOUSE & MUSEUM IS LOCATED IN THE CAMPGROUND.
EMERALD ASH BORER THE DNR REQUESTS YOUR HELP IN STOPPING THE SPREAD OF EMERALD ASH BORER AND OTHER FOREST PESTS. PLEASE ONLY BRING FIREWOOD THAT HAS BEEN PURCHASED LOCALLY INTO THE PARK.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION II THE SHORELINE ADJACENT TO THE CAMPGROUND WHILE SCENIC IS NOT A SANDY SHORE/BEACH. THE SHORELINE ADJACENT TO THE CAMPGROUND IS SHALLOW & VERY STONY. THE BEST SWIMMING AVAILABLE AT THE PARK IS AT THE HIKING TRAIL UNIT, WHICH REQUIRES A 4 MILE DRIVE TO THE TRAILHEAD, & A 1.3 MILE HIKE TO CATHEAD BAY.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION III PETS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED FROM THE SHORELINE AREA AT ALL TIMES. THERE ARE 8 MILES OF TRAILS IN THIS AREA. BICYCLING IS NOT ALLOWED ON THE TRAILS. VEHICULAR ACCESSIBLE BEACHES AREA LOCATED THRU OUT THE LEELANAU PENINSULA ON VARIOUS INLAND LAKES AND LAKE MICHIGAN.
MUST READ A CAMPER WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO CAMP FOR MORE THAN 15 CONSECUTIVE NIGHTS IN ANY SEPARATELY ADMINISTERED CAMPGROUND. COMBINED MULTIPLE RESERVATIONS THAT EXCEED 15 NIGHTS COULD RESULT IN A MANDATORY REDUCTION OF THE COMBINED STAY SO THAT THE 15 NIGHT LIMIT IS NOT EXCEEDED.
